MAKEUP, FASHION, AND HAIR FIT FOR GOLF(:

This pic is from nj.com
Hello again everyone(: Today I had my first golf lesson! I know, I know, I just haven't had time to take lessons until now.. (; So I had my lesson which was about an hour long and then I just hit some balls on the driving range with my grandpa for about two hours(: And let me tell ya, I got a lot better than I was when I walked in there :D My farthest drive was about 100 yards, but hey, that's good for me! ;D Anyways, on to the makeup:

MAKEUP FIT FOR GOLF(:

When playing sports, I like to keep my makeup very natural, like a "no-makeup" look while still enhancing your features and letting your natural beauty shine through(:

First off, for the face I always wear my Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer in the shade: Light 4-5. It has a great texture that's not too moussy but not too thick. It also does a great job of covering my dark circles and staying on during sports.

Then, I don't apply a tinted moisturizer or anything because that has more of a chance of sweating off of my face. I just apply a light powder to even out the skin tone and prevent shine such as my personal favorite, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in the shade Medium. It's very light and doesn't look cakey(: I didn't apply any blush or anything because I didn't want to look shimmery or caked on in the sun, plus I have a bit of a tan(;

Then, I just fill in my brows with my Revlon Brow Fantasy in Light Brown. I've been using this thing forever, it's just great for summer because it has a pencil and a tinted gel for extra wear(: I've repurchased it about three times ;D

Then, for the eyes I kept it very neutral and started off with my MAC Painterly Paint Pot and applied it with my fingers all over my lid to just even out the color of my lids and brighten up the area.

I then just use a flat shader brush and gently apply Urban Decay's Eyeshadow in Sin from the Naked Palette on the inner corner and inner third of my lid, just to brighten.

I then very lightly took a crease brush and applied Urban Decay's Eyeshadow in Buck from the Naked Palette in my crease just to give some subtle dimension.

I then took a big, fluffy shader brush and highlighted my brow bone with Urban Decay's Eyeshadow in Virgin from the Naked Palette to add some nice glow to the eye(:

I then applied a rather thin line of my Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black from my outer lashline to halfway across the lid, making the line thinner towards the middle to make the lashes look fuller.

I then took a smudger brush and smudged Urban Decay's Eyeshadow in Gunmetal from the Naked Palette over the liquid liner to tone it down a bit.

 I then curled my lashes and applied Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara on the top lashes and Maybelline Great Lash in Blackest Black on the bottom lashes. (Click here to see a review of Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara, and click here to see a mini-review of Maybelline Great Lash).

Lastly, I used Softlips Chap Stick in Rose for a hint of color and SPF 15, which is very important when playing sports to keep your lips from getting burnt. And if you don't want any color, use Softlips in Vanilla which has SPF 20.

AN OUTFIT FIT FOR GOLF(:

As for an outfit for Golf, you want to dress very light because it can get hot when your standing on the golf course with the sun beating down on you. So for my golf lesson, I wore an Abercrombie pink striped polo shirt, white shorts from Target and a skinny braided rope belt from Forever 21. It still has the golf feel with the polo shirt, but won't make you hot because of the shorts. And I still added some style with the belt(: For shoes, I wore my SEBAGO Docksides Boat Shoes because you want to wear shoes that are close-toed and offer good support so that they don't interfere with your golf swing! So I would say that flip flops aren't the best thing to wear, trust me ;D

HAIR FIT FOR GOLF(:

As for the hairstyle that I wore to my golf lesson, I wore my hair up in a ponytail because it's important to keep your hair out of your face so that you can really focus on..golf (; instead of your hair distracting you while it's flapping in your face ;D But I also added some touches of style to it. I had curled my hair the night before with my Conair Infiniti Curl Wand (Click here to see a review of the wand), so my hair had loose wavy curls that added some nice volume and style. I also braided my bangs back into the ponytail(:

 Welp, that's the end of my Makeup, Fashion, and Hair fit for Golf Post! I hope that it helped you with what to wear and use when playing Golf or really any sport, at least for the makeup(; As always thanks for reading(: And a Target haul should be coming soon!

HIGH-END REVIEW: SMASHBOX IN BLOOM PALETTE

This pic is from Smashbox.com
Hey everyone! I lied about starting with the Target Haul, but I'll get to that soon! I think we are actually going to Target tonight, but I'll keep ya posted(: Anyways, I'm here to tell you a quite exciting event: SMASHBOX HAS ITEMS FROM PAST COLLECTIONS ON SALE! (Including the In Bloom Palette that I'm going to do a review on right now) Click here to see the awesome sale! Alright, on to the review. The reason that I chose to do a review on this palette is because I've actually had it since it first came out, but now that it's on sale, I really wanted to do a review! I bought it for $48 and now it's only $36! WOOT(: Anyways, on to the review:

As for an overview of the palette, it's basically an Spring Eyeshadow Palette that includes a brush. Inside are 10 eyeshadow colors that seem to be coordinated in groups of two. The colors are very beautiful neutrals, no brights here! The colors include neutral purples, blues, greens, browns, and champagnes(: It also includes a standard eyeshadow brush that has actually become my favorite brush to pack color on the lid with(:

PROS:
  • The packaging is very sleek, sturdy, and compact. (I've dropped it a few times :\ )
  • The colors are coordinated in sets of two going up and down, which makes for easy use(:
  • The shadows are very nicely pigmented and very soft, there are no colors with chunky glitter.
  • The colors are all very wearable, so this would be a great palette to keep on hand for an everyday look(:
  • But, another good thing is that they're not just your average neutral browns, they included a mix of colors in the palette, but all neutral enough to wear every day(:
  • The brush is great quality for packing color on the lid, and I find that it's a very multipurpose brush. (Sometimes I use it for smudging shadow on my lower lashline)  (:
  • It also has a great big mirror that covers the whole inside cover of the palette! (Great for on-the-go!)
  • The shadows are a great size, not too big, not too small(:

CONS:
  • Honestly, there are no cons for this thing, at least in my opinion! One kind of con, I guess, would be that if you keep it in your purse, it can get scratched up..But I don't really consider that a real Con (;

PHOTOS:

The really pretty box that the palette comes in (I kind of wish that the actual palette looked like this)...
The sleek, black packaging of the palette. By the way, the trees on the palette are just a reflection(;
The palette opened up. Just look at that huge mirror!
The first four shadows, on the left side (Clockwise): Pink Lily, Lavender Grey, Iris Blue, and Soft Orchid. (A light matte purple, a medium sparkly blue, a matte blue of the same shade, and a darker matte purple.)

The second set of four shadows in the palette (Clockwise): Golden Rose, Warm Taupe, Moss, and Shimmery Copper. (A light sparkly golden pink, a light shimmery taupe-green, a darker shimmery hunter green, and a dark golden shimmery brown).

Just a cool position ;D

Overall, I think that this is a great palette to have on hand. It has beautiful, nicely pigmented shadows that are a great twist on everyday colors. And now, it's on sale! WOOHOO! What reason is there not to buy it? But just so it's clear, I'm not being payed to advertise Smashbox in any way, these are my honest, true opinions and I'm just super excited about this sale!(;

Ahhh...RELAXATION(:

Ahh, summer time(: My absolute favorite season of the year..The colors are so bright and fresh and green, birds chirping, blue skies, warm weather. It's just such a carefree, laid-back time of year, especially since school's out(; No more staying up late studying for Global Studies Tests.. at least until next year...I'm not thinking about that right now ;D Anyways, sorry that i haven't been posting very many beauty related posts recently, I just haven't had anything interesting to talk about...But I have some gift cards for Target so I'll be doing a haul soon(: So for this post, I kind of just wanted to talk about the beauty of summer and my favorite parts, a very laid-back post ;D As for my inspiration for it, I was laying outside in my hammock enjoying the weather and I thought: Hey, why not?

SUMMER TIME(:

One recent addition to my summer favorites is maintaining my collection of Retainers...yeah definitley not one of my favorites, but i have to wear them since I just got my braces off..Wanna see a post about my braces, Click here! I mean, who wouldn't? ;D

On to the real favorites ;D I absolutley love tanning, laying out in the sun, "sunbathing", whatever you call it(; Yes, I know that it's bad for your skin, but it's also letting you soak up some essential Vitamin D, the vitamin of the Sun(: What you don't wanna do is get burnt... which I confess has happened multiple times ;D

But one of my absolute FAVORITE things to do is to lay on my raft in my private pool, and even take a swim if  I want...

...Otherwise known as our kiddie pool ;D As much as I wish I had an actual in-ground pool, I don't think it's happening any time soon...

And on those nice, breezy summer days, I love just laying in the hammock, absolutley carefree...or at least trying to be, and maybe accidently falling asleep(;  Ok, maybe not accidently...

And of course you can't forget the gorgeous flowers that Summer brings :)...

And the feeling of the lush, green grass beneath your feet. Although a better feeling would be the sand of a beach... (;

And I just love all of the GREEN! You would probably think that green is my favorite color by now, but I'm afraid it's actually Blue(: But to tell ya the truth, I like all of the colors ;D

And who can forget the beautiful blue skies(: I included the post in the picture so that you wouldn't think that i just took a picture of something blue :D
And I can't forget my favorite Dr. Seuss book to read in the Summer ever since I was a little kid!(: It really get ya ready for Summer and gives you the Summer feeling(: So don't read it in the Winter, or you'll be extremely dissapointed when you walk outside ;D

And last but definitley not least, riding my John Deere Pedal Tractor! Haha, just kidding, but I'm sure that it's my  little brother's favorite part(;

Welp, that's the end of this incredibly random post ;D I really just wanted to do a summer post because I was so inspired by the awesome weather outside, laying in my hammock(: Don't forget, I promise that I'll get back to beauty posts starting with a Target haul very soon(: As always, thanks for reading(:

IMPORTANT: Yes, all of these pictures are mine. I took them with my own Sony Handycam Camera thank you very much. I just didn't put my Blog name in the bottom corner of each of these pictures because I didn't want to ruin the beauty of the picture, especially the tractor(;
