OUTFIT OF THE DAY: PREPPY CASUAL

Hey everyone! So sorry that I haven't done a post in what seems like months, I've just been so busy with school unfortunately starting again and all those beginning of the year project that we all know and love (kidding of course (; ) that I just haven't had time to do much of anything! But I figured now that it's a long weekend (yippee!) I should do some catching-up posts! So here's an outfit of the day for ya! And you'll probably be seeing quite a few of these since I have to come up with something every day at 5 in the morning for school :| And I wanted to let you know that I just placed an order from Sephora and so a Haul is coming in the near future(: Anyways, enough of my "rambliness", on to the outfit:

OOTD: PREPPY CASUAL

SHIRT: For the top, I am wearing just a plain white v-neck short-sleeved shirt from Target and then on top of that, a Abercrombie & Fitch blue and white striped shirt (that I actually got at Plato's Closet for soo much cheaper than I would've normally paid for it!) and I just tucked it in and rolled up the sleeves. (If you've never been there, definitely give it a try!)

BOTTOM: As for the bottoms, I am wearing some navy blue shorts from Target as well and a skinny leather braided belt from Forever 21.

SHOES: As for shoes, I just wore some navy blue Abercrombie Flip Flops, which by the way, I have had these flip flops for years and they are virtually indestructable! And believe me, they've been through a lot ;D

HAIR: I just loosely curled my hair with my Conair Curling Wand and finished with some Tresemme Hairspray! (Click here for a review on the wand!)

Welp, that's the end of my Outfit of the Day! I hope that you liked it and that it inspired you to recreate it! As always, thanks so much for reading and be on the lookout for a Lip of the Day and Sephora Haul! And remember to Follow this blog for updates!

MY HAIR ROUTINE

This is my natural hair, pretty wavy ;D
Hey again everyone! I was trying to think of something to do for a post, so I watched my usual beauty videos, and I noticed that a lot of people are doing hair routines, so I figured why not? This is going to be my hair routine from the shower all the way to the next day ;D  And if you see any of these products that you would like me to do a full-on review of, email me or leave me a comment below! Anyways, on to the post:

MY HAIR ROUTINE

First off, the shampoo & conditioner I use are the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Daily Shampoo and Moisturizing Conditioner. They work great for my hair, they make it very soft and shiny(:

Here's a close-up of the shampoo.

Here's a close-up of the conditioner.

After I take a shower, I always take my Aussie Catch the Wave Mousse +  Leave-in Conditioner and scrunch it throughout my hair while it is still damp. I use a dollop about the size of my palm.

Here's a close up of the leave-in conditioner.

I then spray my Matrix Biolage Smoothing Shine Milk all throughout my hair.

I then use my Tresemme Curl Defining Spray Gel and spray it all throughout my hair, but recently I've switched over to my John Frieda Frizz-Ease Spray Gel because my Tresemme one is pretty much gone.. ;D

Here's a close-up of the John Frieda Spray Gel.

After I'm done with those products, I let my hair air dry. I barely EVER use my hair dryer because it makes my hair absolutely CRAZY! ;D Then the next day, I alternate between these two sprays, my Tresemme Fresh Start Refreshing Mist and my Tresemme Shine Spray. They both give a really nice shine(:

Here's a close-up of the Tresemme Refreshing Mist.

Before I use any type of heat on my hair, I always use my absolute FAVORITE heat protectant, my Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray(:

An awesome plus is that it is specially formulated to work with heat appliances.

Here's a close-up of my Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray.

And if I'm going to straighten my hair, I then spray my John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3-Day Straight Spray lightly all over my hair. (It says to use it when your hair is wet, but I use it when it's dry, I find that it works for me better that way) (;

Here's a close-up of the 3-Day Straight Spray. It's semi-permanent, WOOHOO! ;D

I then use my Remington Wet 2 Straight Straightener if I want to straighten it that day..It works alright, but it's definitely not the best straightener.

Here's a close-up of the name.

Here's a close-up of the controls, it also has an LED screen on the side(: (I always use the highest setting, 15, but I NEVER use the wet setting because it dries out my hair SO much!)

But if I want to curl my hair, I use my Conair Infiniti You Curl Wand. It works great! If you want to see my full review on it, click here!

Here's a close-up of the name.

Here's a close-up of the controls. (I always set mine on the highest setting, 400 degrees, my hair needs a lot of heat) ;D

Welp, that's the end of my Hair Routine! I hope that you enjoyed it! As always, thanks for reading and remember to Follow this blog for updates!(:

MY FAV HAIR "PRODUCT" OF THE MOMENT: CONAIR CURL WAND

I know what you're thinking, MAN! You've made like 50 posts today! Ok, maybe you're not thinking that, but that's what I keep thinking at least :D But I'm just on a roll with these ideas and I don't wanna lose it, ya know? So excuse my overload of posts today...Hey! At least you have more to read, right? Anyways, I decided, again, that I'll be doing these "FAV HAIR PRODUCT OF THE MOMENT" posts which are basically exactly what you think it is, no explaining needed, hopefully... ;D On to the product:

CONAIR INFINITI CURL WAND ($39.99)

So, I just got the curl wand not too long ago, and I absolutley adore it(: I have naturally really wavy hair and it's SUPER hard to straighten in the summer time, so much so that I don't even attempt it :O I know, I know! But this baby has been my lifesaver! It's soo great! Here's the pros and cons, kinda like a review: (;

PROS:

  • It's inexpensive! (Around $30)
  • It heats up SUPER fast. I turned it on for literally A SECOND and then turned it off and it was already almost too hot to touch! If that's not amazing I don't know what is, I'm tellin ya!
  • It's soo easy to use! I thought it was gonna take a while to get used to because you have to flip it upside down and wrap your hair around the barrel, but no, it took me literally about 30 seconds to figure it out, and I haven't burn my hand yet, knock on wood :D
  • It makes such beautiful curls! And you don't have to hold it on your hair for long at all. I use it on the 400 degree setting (I know what you're thinking, but I use Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray!) and I hold my hair wrapped around the barrel for about 5 seconds and it makes a beautiful, natural curl(: It has been an absolute must this summer(:

CONS:
  • Seriously, there are no cons for this thing! But I've got to tell ya, be careful not to burn yourself. I had it on the 400 degree setting and somehow burnt my chin...now it looks like I have a butt chin because the burn looks like the type of shadow you get when you have a butt chin... At least it'll go away, right?

PHOTOS:

How you're supposed to hold the Curl Wand (This is not a pic of me, by the way :D ).
My Hair curled with the Conair Curl Wand.

Overall, seriously go buy this product if you want awesome, sleek, shiny, natural curls in a little amount of time(: As always, thanks so much for reading(:

My Sunbasque In Beauty Rating: A+
