MY LASH DUO OF AUGUST / SEPTEMBER

Hey everyone! I know that it's kind of late to be doing an August Lash Duo of the Month but hey, better late than never right? ;) Anyways, I've really been using this Lash Duo for a pretty long time so I figured that I should probably just do a Lash Duo of the Month on it already! So here ya go:

MY LASH DUO OF AUGUST / SEPTEMBER

REVLON GROW LUSCIOUS PLUMPING WATERPROOF
in Blackest Black:

So first off, this mascara is soo volumizing and a little lengthening as well (: You probably already figured that this was my favorite mascara since I've used it in pretty much all of my Look of the Day's ;D The brush does a wonderful job of getting all of my upper lashes and making them noticeable!

MAYBELLINE GREAT LASH
in Blackest Black:

Lastly, this is my miracle lower lash mascara! The brush is basically a bigger version of the Clinique Bottom Lash one and seperates my bottom lashes SO well and does not clump AT ALL whatsoever (: My reccomendation? GET IT ;D

Welp, that's the end of My Lash Duo of August / September! I hope that you enjoyed it and helped you on your makeup journey ;) As always, thanks so much for reading and feel free to email me or leave a comment if you have post suggestions, questions, or anything really! Thanks (:

LOOK OF THE DAY: USING THE NARS TZARINE DUO

Hey again everyone! In my last haul post, I got the NARS Tzarine Duo during my retail therapy at the mall ;D And I absolutely loved it! The colors are absolutely beautiful! Anyways, I really wanted to do a look of the day with it, and so here we are:

LOOK OF THE DAY USING NARS TZARINE DUO

STEP 1: As always, I primed my lid and up to the brow bone with my MAC Paint Pot in Painterly using my finger.

STEP 2: I then took a flat shader brush and applied the Gold side of the NARS Tzarine Duo to my lid and took it into the inner corner or my eye and underneath my lower lashline.

STEP 3: I then took a crease brush and applied the charcoal grey side of the NARS Tzarine Duo into my crease.

STEP 4: I then took an eyeliner brush and applied my Taupe Gel Liner from the Smashbox Softbox Palette to my upper lashline starting thicker at the outer lashline and going thinner towards the middle.

STEP 5: I then took a smudger brush and applied the charcoal grey side of the NARS Tzarine Duo over the Taupe gel liner.

STEP 6: I then took a fluffy shader brush and applied the Gold side of the NARS Tzarine Duo on my brow bone to highlight.

STEP 7: Lastly, I applied my Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black to my upper lashes and my Maybelline Great Lash in Blackest Black to my lower lashes. (Click here to see a review of Revlon Grow Luscious and click here to see a mini-review of Maybelline Great Lash).

Welp, that's the end of my Look of the Day! I hope that you enjoyed it and that maybe you'll recreate it! If you do, email me a pic(: Anyways, remember to Follow this blog for updates! And as always, thanks for reading!(:

DRUGSTORE REVIEW: REVLON GROW LUSCIOUS PLUMPING WATERPROOF MASCARA!

Wow, that is a long name, I almost fell asleep just typing it all up there. Forgive my cheesy humor :D It's Wednesday morning, middle of the week, rainy and overcast, definitley putting me down because of this non-summery weather.. and I was struggling for an idea for a post... So I thought back to some things that I recently bought, actually, just yesterday (; And so, this post is born. Let's get on with it:

Since this is my first DRUGSTORE REVIEW on this blog, I am going to tell you a bit about what these are going to be. I have decided just now that I am going to do "DRUGSTORE REVIEWS" and "HIGH-END REVIEWS," which are exactly what they sound. So there will be reviews for the inexpensive people and the less inexpensive people... alright, I'm rambling, on to the product!

REVLON GROW LUSCIOUS PLUMPING WATERPROOF    MASCARA ($5.99)

Even though I just got this mascara yesterday, I think I have a pretty good idea of what I think of this mascara. At this point, I really like it. I'll list the pros and cons for you:

PROS:

  •  It conditions your lashes and actually helps them grow. (I haven't been able to notice anything yet because it's only the second day of use, but I'll get back to ya on it(:  ).
  • It IS waterproof as far as I can tell. When I wash my face, it doesn't come off until I use the soap and rub it off.
  • It doesn't flake on me so far, which is great, because I absolutley HATE flaking mascaras. So rest assured that if I review a flaky mascara, you'll know(;
  • Lastly, it does a pretty good job at volumizing lashes. I do a good 2 coats at least. I like VERY voluminous lashes(:

CONS:

  • I only have a couple of cons for this mascara, the first one that stands out for me is the absolutley MASSIVE brush. For me, it's just a little too big and takes a couple uses to get used to.
  • And this last con might not bother you, but I have to include it. I don't have much of a liking for 'fiber' brushes, or whatever you want to call it, mainly because they're not as stiff as the 'rubbery' mascara brushes such as the Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara. And then I feel like I can't coat my lashes as well as with a rubbery brush.

So, in the end, I would say that the Pros outweigh the Cons making it a pretty good mascara. It's not the best I've tried, but if you're looking for a decent mascara that volumizes, is waterproof, and helps your lashes grow, I would check this one out!
