I GOT A FEATHER EXTENSION! (FOR REAL ;D)

Hey everyone! I am officially back from vacation at the beach and have some exciting news! While at the beach, we went to this really awesome mall on the boardwalk and we went to this little boutique (I'm not going to mention the name because I'm not sure if it's local) where I got a feather hair extension! I'm pretty excited about it! It was only $10, which was because it's not like proffesional quality rooster feather or anything. So it probably won't last as long, but that's ok! I mean, it was only $10! ;D Anyways, this is going to be a pretty short post, but I just wanted to tell you guys, especially since I did a post a while ago called "I Found a Feather Hair Extension!" If you haven't read it, you can check it out here! I was excited to say that I actually got a real feather ;D It's short to medium in length and is white with orange-copper and white striping at the bottom(:

HOW IT'S HOLDING UP: As for how it's holding up after a week of salt water and washing my hair multiple times, I'd say it's holding up pretty well! Especially for a non-professional quality $10 feather! The orange-copper color has faded some with all of the washing (It actually HASN'T faded AT ALL, being stupid me, I had the feather turned to the wrong side ;D) but there's no falling apart or breaking off or anything of that nature (: Anyways, here's a pic and then I'm gonna head off to run some errands! (:

I GOT A FEATHER HAIR EXTENSION!

Welp, that's the end of my Feather Extension Story! I hope that you enjoyed it and thanks so much for reading! And remember to Follow this blog for updates!

BEAUTY NEWS: NUANCE BY SALMA HAYEK IS COMING TO CVS!

This Promo Photo is from CVS.com
I AM SO EXCITED for this line to come out because I shop at CVS all of the time and so to have a "higher-end" cosmetic and haircare line come to CVS is the equivalent of Neil Armstrong landing on the moon to me ;D

WHAT IS IT? Now, what is Nuance? It is a brand of Cosmetics, Haircare, Body, and Skincare by Salma Hayek that was inspired by her grandmother.

WHERE CAN I FIND IT? You will be able to find Nuance products at CVS.com and in stores. When asked why she chose to sell the line only at CVS, Salma Hayek said (according to BellaSugar.com), "If I had gone to a mainstream, luxury brand, I would have not been able to give you the quality of product that I am giving you today."

WHEN CAN I BUY IT? The Nuance by Salma Hayek line will be released on CVS.com on July 18th and in most CVS/Pharmacy Stores in August.

WANT MORE INFO ON THE LINE? Click here to see more about Nuance, more photos, and an interview on Salma Hayek about the line from BellaSugar.com

Welp, I hope that my Beauty News helped you and got you as excited for the line as I did ;D And just so it's clear, I'm not being payed in any way to advertise Nuance. Anyways, leave a comment telling me what you think your favorite thing will be from the line (You can see some photos of individual products if you click on the link above), I think I'm most excited for the "eye pods." (: Remember to Follow for more SunbasqueInBeauty! And as always, thanks SO much for reading!(:

LOOK OF THE DAY: MY MOST-WORN LOOK

Hello again everyone! I was trying to figure out a beauty post to write and so I figured that I would do this super easy, everyday look that I find myself wearing quite a bit(: It really is SUPER easy and might not even be worthy of a tutorial...but I'm going to do one anyways! I hope you like it and here we go:

LOOK OF THE DAY: MY MOST-WORN LOOK

STEP 1: First off, I apply my MAC Painterly Paint Pot with my fingers all over my lid and up to my brow bone to even out my lid and brighten it up.

STEP 2: I then take my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero on my upper lashline starting thick at the outer and going thinner towards the inner corner. I also make a little outer wing with the liner and go onto the lower lashline a little as well.

STEP 3: I then take a smudger brush and smudge my Lancome Eyeshadow in The New Black across the liner we applied in Step 2. It adds some sparkle(:

STEP 4: Lastly, as always, I curl my lashes, and apply my Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black on the top lashes and Maybelline Great Lash in Blackest Black on my lower lashes.

Welp, that's the end of my Most-Worn Look! I know, I told you that it really wasn't worthy of a tutorial, but I hope that this helped you and maybe inspired you to recreate it! As always, thanks for reading(:

GRAFFITI!

Yes, I know, you're probably thinking GRAFFITI? Ok, so you're a beauty guru and you're talking about Graffiti... Ok? But yes, you may not know, but I am actually a gangsta. Ha! Just kidding, but I really like drawing Graffiti in my notebook! I don't actually spray paint walls or vandalize, just my notebook ;D I actually was inspired to start by watching GETTOXFABXFOREVER's videos on YouTube(: By the way she's awesome, definitley check out her videos here(: Anyways, on to the actual Graffiti:

MY GRAFFITI

These are the items that I use to make my Graffiti: A Staples Steno Pad, BIC Mark-It Permanent Markers, A Industrial Sized Black Sharpie with a Chisel Tip, a regular black Sharpie, and a mechanical pencil.

This is the Graffiti that I drew on the front of my Steno Pad.

"Hey"

"Neon"

"Inspire"

"Go Green"

"Google"

"Sail"

Welp, that's the end of my Graffiti Post! I really hope that you liked it and that maybe I inspired you to draw your own Graffiti, in a notebook of course, I'm not advertising vandalization ;D Anyways, as always, thanks for reading(:

MY PET PEEVES!

Hey everyone! I'm back from the big weekend get together (I hope you all had a GREAT 4th of July Weekend!) and so I decided that I would do some fun posts that aren't related to beauty, but don't worry! The last one that I do today WILL be beauty related!(; I also have some bad news...I'm going to be gone again, I know, but I'm going camping(: I'll be gone for another couple of days :\ Sorry! Anyways, I decided to do my pet peeves because everyone thinks I have really strange pet peeves, so I thought it'd be fun to tell you guys! Oh geez, that was rambly ;D Let's get on with it:

MY PET PEEVES ;D

NUMBER ONE: WET PAPER TOWELS

Sorry it's a blurry pic, but this one depicted it the most(: Anyways, I absolutley HATE wet paper towels. I don't like touching them, getting them wet, or using them. I know it's weird!

NUMBER TWO: CLOSED BLINDS

I absolutley HATE closed blinds during the day. In other words, I love natural light in a house, NO closed blinds! ;D

NUMBER THREE: PEOPLE SNEAKING UP BEHIND MY BED

I have no idea what's with this guy's face ;D But anyways, I have to have one side of my bed against a wall because I lay on my side and I have this fear of someone sneaking up on my behind my back while I'm in bed ;D

NUMBER FOUR: WET HAIR

I HATE wet hair on my back. Since my hair is long, it just bugs me so much!

NUMBER FIVE: BARE FEET ON WET FLOORS

I HATE wet spots on the floor in the house and stepping in it with my bare feet! AHH! I immediately have to wipe my foot on the carpet ;D

NUMBER SIX: PEOPLE LOOKING OVER MY SHOULDER AT THE COMPUTER

I HATE when I'm at my computer and people are looking over my shoulder! And it's not like I have anything to hide, I just HATE it! AHH! ;D

NUMBER SEVEN: A HAND COMING OUT FROM UNDER MY BED
I know this is weird, and the picture doesn't really match, but I never used to have this fear until this past year when my friend told me that she was always afraid at night that a hand would come out from under her bed and grab her while trying to get in bed, and now, I'm afraid of it too... I always like jump into my bed now ;D

NUMBER EIGHT:

I HATE having dry hands! I just absolutley HATE the feeling! Right after I wash my hands, I have to coat them with lotion or I can't stand the feeling of touching anything! ;D

NUMBER NINE: TOUCHING PAPER
I HATE touching paper right after I wash my hands! It feels like chalk and all nasty! ;D Which leads me to my next pet peeve...

NUMBER TEN: CHALK

I absolutley HATE chalk! I hate hearing it when people write with it, touching it, or getting the dust on my feet or hands! BLUCK! ;D

Welp, that's the end of my Pet Peeves! I know some of them are really strange but hey! That's why I did this post in the first place, so you can see how weird and paranoid I really am! ;D Anyways, as always, thanks for reading(:

Until later,

Ahhh...RELAXATION(:

Ahh, summer time(: My absolute favorite season of the year..The colors are so bright and fresh and green, birds chirping, blue skies, warm weather. It's just such a carefree, laid-back time of year, especially since school's out(; No more staying up late studying for Global Studies Tests.. at least until next year...I'm not thinking about that right now ;D Anyways, sorry that i haven't been posting very many beauty related posts recently, I just haven't had anything interesting to talk about...But I have some gift cards for Target so I'll be doing a haul soon(: So for this post, I kind of just wanted to talk about the beauty of summer and my favorite parts, a very laid-back post ;D As for my inspiration for it, I was laying outside in my hammock enjoying the weather and I thought: Hey, why not?

SUMMER TIME(:

One recent addition to my summer favorites is maintaining my collection of Retainers...yeah definitley not one of my favorites, but i have to wear them since I just got my braces off..Wanna see a post about my braces, Click here! I mean, who wouldn't? ;D

On to the real favorites ;D I absolutley love tanning, laying out in the sun, "sunbathing", whatever you call it(; Yes, I know that it's bad for your skin, but it's also letting you soak up some essential Vitamin D, the vitamin of the Sun(: What you don't wanna do is get burnt... which I confess has happened multiple times ;D

But one of my absolute FAVORITE things to do is to lay on my raft in my private pool, and even take a swim if  I want...

...Otherwise known as our kiddie pool ;D As much as I wish I had an actual in-ground pool, I don't think it's happening any time soon...

And on those nice, breezy summer days, I love just laying in the hammock, absolutley carefree...or at least trying to be, and maybe accidently falling asleep(;  Ok, maybe not accidently...

And of course you can't forget the gorgeous flowers that Summer brings :)...

And the feeling of the lush, green grass beneath your feet. Although a better feeling would be the sand of a beach... (;

And I just love all of the GREEN! You would probably think that green is my favorite color by now, but I'm afraid it's actually Blue(: But to tell ya the truth, I like all of the colors ;D

And who can forget the beautiful blue skies(: I included the post in the picture so that you wouldn't think that i just took a picture of something blue :D
And I can't forget my favorite Dr. Seuss book to read in the Summer ever since I was a little kid!(: It really get ya ready for Summer and gives you the Summer feeling(: So don't read it in the Winter, or you'll be extremely dissapointed when you walk outside ;D

And last but definitley not least, riding my John Deere Pedal Tractor! Haha, just kidding, but I'm sure that it's my  little brother's favorite part(;

Welp, that's the end of this incredibly random post ;D I really just wanted to do a summer post because I was so inspired by the awesome weather outside, laying in my hammock(: Don't forget, I promise that I'll get back to beauty posts starting with a Target haul very soon(: As always, thanks for reading(:

IMPORTANT: Yes, all of these pictures are mine. I took them with my own Sony Handycam Camera thank you very much. I just didn't put my Blog name in the bottom corner of each of these pictures because I didn't want to ruin the beauty of the picture, especially the tractor(;

BRACES!

BRACES!

I know, you're probably thinking, eww, why the heck are you talking about braces? But I just wanted to let you guys know that I've had my braces for over a year and a half now, which I know is not nearly as long as some people like my friends who have had their's since 5th Grade and their in High School.. AHH! That's much too long! Anyways, I didn't have to have mine on long since I didn't really need braces, the only reason I got braces was because I don't have a permanent tooth on the right side, so they have to put a fake tooth in there..A permanent tooth just never grew in! Anyways, now to the point, I'm getting them off on the 28th of this month! WOOHOO!(: So I'm gonna put a picture below of my teeth now with the braces and then when I get them off, I'll edit this post and put a picture of my teeth without braces! WOOOHOOO! :D I know this was kinda random but oh well! I promise I'll get back to beauty next post!

PHOTOS:

Me with mah braces (Sorry, I know my  teeth aren't that great ;D )

I GOT MY BRACES OFF(:
(Tuesday, June 28th, 2011)

I got mah braces off today! WOOT!(: I'm pretty excited! The metal thing you see on the bottom left side of my mouth is my retainer, sorry (;

This was random, but let me know if you guys like these random posts...

MY LASH DUO OF JUNE: LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA & MAYBELLINE GREAT LASH

Hello again beauty blog readers(: I've been on a post writing kick today as I have already written 2 other posts today, but hey, it's not a bad thing is it? (; Anyways, I have decided that i will be doing these posts called: "MY LASH DUO OF MONTH:" So, as you've probably guessed, I'll be doing one every month(: Basically, it's just a pair of mascaras that I've been using most frequently for the past month. So each post will be towards the end of the month. I'll tell you what I think about the mascaras and how I use them, including photos(: Exciting, right? So, let's get to it!

MY LASH DUO OF JUNE: LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA & MAYBELLINE GREAT LASH

The lash pair that I've been using for the month of June most often is definitley Lancome Hypnose Drama and Maybelline Great Lash... hmm, I feel like I'm just restating everything. Alright, enough rambling, on to the mascaras:

LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA (EXCESSIVE BLACK)($25):

This one has a interesting story...Well, here goes, when I first got the mascara, I actually did not like it at all. And by the way, I don't have the full size mascara, I just have a deluxe sample of it from when I ordered my Lancome Molten Shore Palette from the Summer 2011 Bronze Azure Collection(: Anyways, I stopped using it, and then at the beginning of June, I decided to give it another try because my Rimmel Sexy Curves was running out, and to my surprise, I loved it! What I do is apply 2 to 3 coats of it in the color: Excessive Black to my top lashes with the hump of the curled side of the brush pointing towards my lashes. There'll be a picture to help you understand the jumble of words i just said down below ;D But I absolutley love it, it really volumizes my lashes and gives great length(: One weird thing I noticed is that it smells like pohpery, oh geez, I don't know how to spell that...umm, the stuff that is like fake flowers and stuff and you put it in a bowl and it smells good, it smells like that! This is one high-end mascara worth trying(: And the Lancome Website has offers all of the time where you get a deluxe sample of it with your order, that's what I did(: So you don't even have to buy the full size! Oh wow, I just realized how long this paragraph is... it wasn't even supposed to be a paragraph ;D

MAYBELLINE GREAT LASH (BLACKEST BLACK)

So, now for the story on this one.. Well, I was at Meijer's one day at the beginning of June, and had just seen an ad celebrating Maybelline Great Lash's... 50th Anniversary in my InStyle Magazine? So I decided that I should give it a try, I needed a new mascara anyways(; So I first tried to apply it to my top lashes, thinking, "Oh poop, this does nothing, the brush is so tiny!" Well, at some point I came across putting it on my bottom lashes and BAM! AWESOME! I think the reason I love it so much is because the brush is like a slightly bigger version of Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara(: It really defines and seperates my bottom lashes! So if you're looking for a cheaper version of Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara, I would say give this a try(: Maybe you'll be as pleased as me ;D So alas, I discovered the mahvelous lash duo of Lancome Hypnose Drama on the top lashes and Maybelline Great Lash on the bottom! (:

PHOTOS:

The Lancome Hypnose Drama Brush (Weird-lookin right?)

A close-up of the Lancome Hypnose Drama Brush.

Before putting any mascara on.

After putting Hypnose Drama on the Top Lashes & Great Lash on the Bottom Lashes.

The way I hold the Lancome Hypnose Drama Brush as I was rambling about earlier ;D

So, overall, I hope that you try this lash duo or maybe if you have one that works awesome for you, leave a comment and maybe I'll try it for next month! As always, thanks for reading(:

Also, if you would like to see a post in which I use Maybelline Great Lash in a look, click here(:
